This helped me to depersonalize business situations and not blame my management for having to make hard decisions that could impact me.<\/p>\n<p>Learning to recognize the ways in which some people try to control others directly or passively helped me to interact more effectively with them and not to take difficult situations \u201cpersonally\u201d. I also learned to value myself more and curtail self-blame. An example is where one of my shoes was wearing unevenly: before taking the class, I would have attribute it to a problem with me, such as walking incorrectly.
