We come to expect that the world will simply be handed to us on a silver platter, to match our silver spoon. \u00a0The problem is that the world doesn&#8217;t work that way, yet we continue to expect to GET (without giving).<\/p>\n<p class=\"firstHeading\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">We are told growing up that the world is at our feet. \u00a0Few of us are taught how or that we actually have to move our feet in order to get where we want to go and be. \u00a0We fail to learn the principles of positioning, timing and discipline, as we sit in front of our computers, laptops and phones swiping away and &#8220;controlling our world.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"firstHeading\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">We find ourselves waiting for life to happen to us, without investing the time and energy in charting our own course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"firstHeading\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">When life doesn&#8217;t go our way we react &#8211; because this is what we have learned to do. \u00a0We become the helpless victim or the aggressive, resistant and defiant bully. \u00a0We become angry when we do something, or when we don&#8217;t do something. \u00a0We live in anger and anger soon becomes a pattern not just of behavior, but of living.<\/p>\n<p class=\"firstHeading\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">As the night gives way to the dawn we see a new day rise and we wake to the dawn of a new day, yet for many of us the new day is still the old.
