Groberg"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a name=\"content\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Opening Insights<\/h2>\n<div style=\"width: 100%; text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7NsWghmFeRQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<div style=\"width: 100%; text-align: center;\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Informational Insights<\/h2>\n<h3>The Race<\/h3>\n<h5>attributed to Dr. D.H. \"Dee\" Groberg<\/h5>\n<p>Whenever I start to hang my head in front of failure\u2019s face,<br \/>\nmy downward fall is broken by the memory of a race.<\/p>\n<p>A children\u2019s race, young boys, young men; how I remember well,<br \/>\nexcitement sure, but also fear, it wasn\u2019t hard to tell.<\/p>\n<p>They all lined up so full of hope, each thought to win that race<br \/>\nor tie for first, or if not that, at least take second place.<\/p>\n<p>Their parents watched from off the side, each cheering for their son,<br \/>\nand each boy hoped to show his folks that he would be the one.<\/p>\n<p>The whistle blew and off they flew, like chariots of fire,<br \/>\nto win, to be the hero there, was each young boy\u2019s desire.<\/p>\n<p>One boy in particular, whose dad was in the crowd,<br \/>\nwas running in the lead and thought \u201cMy dad will be so proud.\u201d<br \/>\nBut as he speeded down the field and crossed a shallow dip,<br \/>\nthe little boy who thought he\u2019d win, lost his step and slipped.<br \/>\nTrying hard to catch himself, his arms flew everyplace,<br \/>\nand midst the laughter of the crowd he fell flat on his face.<br \/>\nAs he fell, his hope fell too; he couldn\u2019t win it now.<br \/>\nHumiliated, he just wished to disappear somehow.<\/p>\n<p>But as he fell his dad stood up and showed his anxious face,<br \/>\nwhich to the boy so clearly said, \u201cGet up and win that race!\u201d<br \/>\nHe quickly rose, no damage done, behind a bit that\u2019s all,<br \/>\nand ran with all his mind and might to make up for his fall.<br \/>\nSo anxious to restore himself, to catch up and to win,<br \/>\nhis mind went faster than his legs. He slipped and fell again.<br \/>\nHe wished that he had quit before with only one disgrace.<br \/>\n\u201cI\u2019m hopeless as a runner now, I shouldn\u2019t try to race.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But through the laughing crowd he searched and found his father\u2019s face<br \/>\nwith a steady look that said again, \u201cGet up and win that race!\u201d<br \/>\nSo he jumped up to try again, ten yards behind the last.<br \/>\n\u201cIf I\u2019m to gain those yards,\u201d he thought, \u201cI\u2019ve got to run real fast!\u201d<br \/>\nExceeding everything he had, he regained eight, then ten...<br \/>\nbut trying hard to catch the lead, he slipped and fell again.<br \/>\nDefeat! He lay there silently. A tear dropped from his eye.<br \/>\n\u201cThere\u2019s no sense running anymore! Three strikes I\u2019m out! Why try?<br \/>\nI\u2019ve lost, so what\u2019s the use?\u201d he thought. \u201cI\u2019ll live with my disgrace.\u201d<br \/>\nBut then he thought about his dad, who soon he\u2019d have to face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGet up,\u201d an echo sounded low, \u201cyou haven\u2019t lost at all,<br \/>\nfor all you have to do to win is rise each time you fall.<br \/>\nGet up!\u201d the echo urged him on, \u201cGet up and take your place!<br \/>\nYou were not meant for failure here! Get up and win that race!\u201d<br \/>\nSo, up he rose to run once more, refusing to forfeit,<br \/>\nand he resolved that win or lose, at least he wouldn\u2019t quit.<br \/>\nSo far behind the others now, the most he\u2019d ever been,<br \/>\nstill he gave it all he had and ran like he could win.<br \/>\nThree times he\u2019d fallen stumbling, three times he rose again.<br \/>\nToo far behind to hope to win, he still ran to the end.<\/p>\n<p>They cheered another boy who crossed the line and won first place,<br \/>\nhead high and proud and happy -- no falling, no disgrace.<br \/>\nBut, when the fallen youngster crossed the line, in last place,<br \/>\nthe crowd gave him a greater cheer for finishing the race.<br \/>\nAnd even though he came in last with head bowed low, unproud,<br \/>\nyou would have thought he\u2019d won the race, to listen to the crowd.<br \/>\nAnd to his dad he sadly said, \u201cI didn\u2019t do so well.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cTo me, you won,\u201d his father said. \u201cYou rose each time you fell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And now when things seem dark and bleak and difficult to face,<br \/>\nthe memory of that little boy helps me in my own race.<br \/>\nFor all of life is like that race, with ups and downs and all.<br \/>\nAnd all you have to do to win is rise each time you fall.<br \/>\nAnd when depression and despair shout loudly in my face,<br \/>\nanother voice within me says, \u201cGet up and win that race!\u201d<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Possibilities for Consideration<\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Take a moment and examine\u2026<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">As you reviewed the material above, what stood out to you?<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">What is the potential impact, economically and\/or socially?<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">What action is needed to stop or support this idea?<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">You may want to consider whether you:\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">want to be <em>aware<\/em> of,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">should become <em>supportive<\/em> of,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">would want to be <em>active<\/em> in this topic?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Add Your Insight<\/h2>\n<p><em>I have been impressed with the urgency of doing.
