You\u2019ll be able to live very well on that. The primary concern will be meaning and purpose.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/content.jwplatform.com\/players\/m5DoSEyb-VYZGOsHs.html\" width=\"845\" height=\"520\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"yes\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Here are a few more of Kurzweil\u2019s more noteworthy predictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By 2029, computers will have reached human-level intelligence, a.k.a. Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).<\/li>\n<li>By 2030, nanotechnology and other medical advances will have cured nearly all diseases.<\/li>\n<li>By 2045, artificial intelligence will surpass human intelligence. This is called \u201cthe singularity\u201c.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cKurzweil believes that this new technological singularity will usher in, and I want to quote here, a \u2018period during which the pace of technological change will be so rapid, its impact so deep, that human life will be irreversibly transformed.\u2019 Wow, that\u2019s quite a quote,\u201d said Glenn on today\u2019s show. \u201cHere\u2019s the problem with Kurzweil\u2019s prediction: He claims that the time-frame between human level artificial intelligence and [the singularity] will be about 15 years.
