The internet introduced countless amazing innovations and industries, but what has it taken away? It conditioned us to turn to a search engine through a computer or a smartphone to get the answers to questions we would have traditionally asked our parents, grandparents or experts in the field. This removed our wisdom and insight. <em>This halted the generational passage of knowledge.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We think we are so smart finding the answers online, but in many ways, as Sherry Turkle discussed in her TED Talk in 2012, never have we been more <em>connected, yet alone and disconnected from ourselves and others. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Today, we have somewhat of an awareness of information (smart), yet we lack the wisdom and insight.
