Sean Parker, the former president of Facebook, slammed the creators of the ubiquitous social media giant for knowingly \u201cexploiting a vulnerability in human psychology.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe thought process that went into building these applications, Facebook being the first of them \u2026 was all about: \u2018How do we consume as much of your time and conscious attention as possible?'\u201d Parker told Axios\u2019 Mike Allen in an interview on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat means that we need to sort of give you a little dopamine hit every once in a while, because someone liked or commented on a photo or a post or whatever,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd that\u2019s going to get you to contribute more content \u2026 It\u2019s a social-validation feedback loop.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fact is we are constantly being manipulated by the media, by polticans and by corporations. It is unforunate, but it is the truth. Take for instance the meaning of Christmas and the Christmas message shared by Presidents, Queens and dignitaries around the world.
