Ever heard the phrase &#8220;too big to fail?&#8221; Don&#8217;t be fooled, there is no such thing. This is exemplified by the  medical industry example that follows.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> People enter the medical industry for the right reasons, but they end up  becoming part of the machine and lose sight of their altruistic driving  factors <\/li>\n<li>The Healthcare community steps on physicians and healthcare workers, without consideration for keeping them, because they&#8217;re all going to be replaced by automated diagnostics, services and robotic caregivers anyway (it&#8217;s happening now)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>AwareComm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> led a field research study that examined the leading causes of death for Americans. It was determined that preventable medical errors was the 3rd leading cause of death. The findings of AwareComm&#8217;s field research were recognized internationally and garnered interest in the the medical industry. However, the hosting organization perceived the findings to be a threat and severed ties to this research study.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of AwareComm&#8217;s field research, the Medical Device Interoperability Co-Lab<sup>&#x2122;<\/sup> was born.
