We live in a strange world. It's a reality that most of us have come to understand and accept. However, every now and then something will cross our paths that will make us wonder if the reality we are experiencing is nothing more than a fever dream.<\/p>\n

If you were presented evidence that, in pursuit of the responsible planning of parenthood, an organization chose to teach young girls how to masturbate and exotic dance while inviting the boys to come watch, then you'd probably think it was all made up. Either that, or you were having a fever dream.<\/p>\n

The following article was published by The Blaze, \u201cone of the nation's largest independent media companies.\u201d It was written by Phil Shiver, \"staff writer for The Blaze.\"<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood's Northwest and Hawaii political action group is hosting Femme Fest in Olympia, Washington, open to \"all genders and ages\" and featuring a \"clitoris and pleasure education\" workshop and a \"Wicked Sexy Pole Dance Showcase.\"<\/p>\n

\"Join Pilates at Play and Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest & Hawaii as we celebrate our sexuality and enjoy an irreverently playful night of fundraising, fitness, sex talk, and exotic pole dance performances,\" an announcement<\/a> for the event reads on Planned Parenthood Action Fund's website.<\/p>\n

The fundraiser comes after a recent school board vote<\/a> in the nearby Battle Ground school district to scrap a comprehensive sex education curriculum that many feared promoted an LGBTQ+ agenda. In fact, the board not only suspended its use of the specific sex education curriculum under fire, known as FLASH, but eliminated the requirements for the district to teach sex education in general, unless required by the state.
Presently, Washington law only requires that school districts teach about HIV and AIDS prevention.<\/p>\n

In response, the Planned Parenthood event includes an educational portion, consisting of informational sessions about making sex education mandatory in Washington state, along with information about \"the Clitoris\" and \"pleasure.\"<\/p>\n

The full schedule for the evening is slated to go like this:
4 - 5 p.m.: Pilates and Barre Class Sampler
5 - 5:30 p.m.: Sexy Floor Work Lesson
5:30 - 6 p.m.: The Art of Feminine Sensual Movement
6 - 6:30 p.m.: Clitoris and Pleasure Education with Planned Parenthood
6:30 - 7 p.m.: Sex Ed in Washington State Informational with Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii
7- 9 p.m. Wicked Sexy Pole Dance Showcase presented by Pole at Play<\/p>\n

According to LifeSite News<\/a>, this is not the first time that Planned Parenthood has hosted a fundraiser with explicit sexual content. \"Summer, Sex and Spirits<\/a>\" fundraisers have been held by Planned Parenthood New York City, where VIP ticket-holders received complimentary lubricant and pole-dancing lessons.<\/p>\n

The event is open to those of all genders and ages \u2014 even the boys. The announcement says, \"The theme for the night is a reclamation of pleasure, and while we emphasize the Clitoris, we understand that not all folks who have marginalized sexualities have a Clitoris or are femme presenting.\"<\/p>\n

The host's only request is that attendees come with an open mind and display respect for all of the performers and presenters.<\/p>\n

Possibilities of Consideration: Keeping an Open Mind<\/h2>\n

The activities described in the above article read like a program for a late night Vegas show requiring the presentation of I.D. for entry. If we plan to create a generation of sex addicts, then Planned Parenthood is on the right track. If we want to teach children (male and female) that girls are sex objects and eagerly prepare them for a life full of sex-capades, then Planned Parenthood is on the right track.<\/p>\n

If we plan to teach children (and adults alike) the principles of self-authority, self-responsibility and self-accountability (= maturity) then the approach above may not be the best way. If we plan to teach children (and adults alike) universal values and methods for using their minds, rather than becoming slaves to their urges, then the above approach may not be the best way.<\/p>\n

What if we could develop responsible communities that guided and supported their members along life's path? Would that be preferable to a government-funded program that creates sex-crazy exotic dancers?<\/p>\n
