As Chairman of the Trustees of the Troy First United Methodist Church, I, like many, see the challenges we face within our community and world. \u00a0We see a common thread \u2013 a lack of moral\u00a0integrity within all arenas: home, work, worship and play. \u00a0This is my call to action to find fellow church leaders and members to join me in re-establishing Trust in The Church so we can once again become leaders and teachers of values and morals.<\/p>\n

Problems in the Church: <\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Loss of Faith in the Church:\u00a0<\/strong>Until the mid-1900\u2019s, the Church was the leader in moral development and teachings within our communities, and world.\u00a0 Since that time, we have lost our way and are still trying to find it.\u00a0 Many Churches have lost 50% or more Church membership, and giving is declining as well – the trend is continuing on and on. We have to ask, \u201chow could this happen?\u201d \u00a0The answer is people have lost faith in Church leadership and direction<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  2. 53% of the US Population DO NOT TRUST Church Leadership:\u00a0<\/strong>According to Gallup, only 47% of the population<\/strong><\/a> has a high or very high estimation of the honesty and integrity of church leaders. That\u2019s right. Less than half the population thinks church leaders are honest or very honest. \u00a0As recently as 1985 that figure was 67%<\/strong><\/a>. Today church leaders rank ahead<\/em> of lawyers, TV reporters and members of Congress, but behind<\/em> nurses, doctors, pharmacists and police officers in terms of trust and integrity.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    While many reasons exist why Churches have lost their standing within their communities, even more reasons exist why our communities are losing their moral integrity.\u00a0 The solution to both of these problems depends on the other.\u00a0 The Church needs to regain the trust of the community in order to teach morals and integrity, and the community needs to be able to trust the message of the church in order to regain confidence in the \u201cMessage.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The selfishness that has infected our communities and nation needs to be curbed\u2026 before there is no one left for us.<\/p>\n

    \u201cFirst they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out \u2013\u00a0Because I was not a Socialist.
    Then, they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out \u2013\u00a0Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
    Then, they came for the Jews and I did not speak out \u2013\u00a0Because I was not a Jew.
    Then, they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

    To experience the Vision of how we can become true disciples and bring the principles of Christ into our hearts, minds, businesses, organizations, schools, communities and families.<\/p>\n

    We need to step into the world and speak to people where they are,
    in a way that befriends their fears and
    speaks to their soul, heart and values \u2013 individually and collectively.

    We need to unite and collaborate to form a real community of Disciples committed to the Core of Christianity: To Love God with All Our Hearts, Souls and Minds and to Love our Neighour as we Love Ourselves.\u00a0<\/em>The foundation of Christianity is based on two core commandments<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    This is exactly why we must change the Church in a modern way to restore our Church to a new level of engagement – to teach Love and Engagement by example<\/a>.<\/strong><\/div>\n

    Using a proven technology, methodology and human understanding approach, I have sponsored and financed the beginning of our Church Co-Lab Institute movement through the Pocket Wisdom Insights. I am calling Church leaders, Church teams and Church members to come together to collaborate and address the core issues that we face.\u00a0 By developing a new level of understanding, we will develop effective solutions.\u00a0 These solutions can produce changes needed to turn around our communities, country and world.<\/p>\n

    I have found the leadership and resources we need. \u00a0I have supported and financed a path that will work.\u00a0 I am looking for 20+ good Christians willing to join me \u2026 in Christian fellowship and partnership with a solution that can create a place to make our dream big enough to include and invite everyone.

    I need others to stand up for what they believe is right and to join me in this movement!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Do you have the courage and conviction to make a difference?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Remember\u2026<\/strong> \u201cThe world is a dangerous place \u2013 not because of the people who are evil but because of the people who don\u2019t do anything about it.\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>Albert Einstein<\/p>\n

    In 2 Corinthians 13:2, Paul admonishes us by saying \u201cI have already warned those who had been sinning when I was there on my second visit.\u00a0 Now I again warn them and all others, just as I did before, that this next time I will not spare them<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

    We can join together to influence many lives before it is too late. \u00a0We need to STOP trying to deliver the MESSAGE. \u00a0We need to START FOCUSING ON ENGAGING people within a community and culture that is safe, unifying and supportive… so people are within a community in which they can hear the MESSAGE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    We NEED TO STOP<\/span> PREACHING and START Demonstrating and Teaching.<\/h3>\n

    Pocket Wisdom Insights (PWI) Co-Lab Institute movement is focused on\u00a0engaging and\u00a0rebuilding America (and the world) with the Four Absolutes\u00a0to create solidarity. \u00a0Pocket Wisdom Insights is built on a platform of engagement, interactive communication, and clear principles to create solidarity that activate creativity and supports an atmosphere of true collaboration.<\/p>\n
