are the path to understand how through process-based Emotional Intelligent experiences we can learn how to <strong>Re-discover Our Values, separate from Our Old Beliefs, find Emotional Resolution, and strengthen our Emotional Self\/Shared-Authority, Emotional Self\/Shared-Responsibility and Emotional Self\/Shared-Accountability <\/strong>to become the <strong><em>&#8220;Captain of Our Own Ship.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<h2>Informational Insights<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The<em> 5 Gears of Life&#x2122;<\/em> begins with Our Values, moves to Our Beliefs, Priorities, Actions, <em>and finally<\/em> Results.<\/strong>\u00a0 Using the process of principles (absolute truths) to models (which shows inter-connectivity) to implementation (the practical application of them in our daily lives) we can learn <strong><em>NOT &#8220;What to Think&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> but instead <strong><em>&#8220;How to Think.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gear 1: VALUES<\/strong><br \/>\nEverything starts with<em><strong> Values<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0Values allow us to discover who we are.\u00a0 By learning to express Value:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>We are able to share an experience with another person.<\/li>\n<li>Learn to discover life in relation to others and in contribution with others.<\/li>\n<li>Learn to discover life in contribution with others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6461 size-full\" src=\"\/\/pocketwisdominsights.com\/pwicolab\/wp-content\/uploads\/PWIModels\/5gear_value_tp_w500xh157.png\" alt=\"5gear_value_tp_w500xh157\" width=\"500\" height=\"157\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pocketwisdominsights.com\/pwicolab\/wp-content\/uploads\/PWIModels\/5gear_value_tp_w500xh157.png 500w, https:\/\/pocketwisdominsights.com\/pwicolab\/wp-content\/uploads\/PWIModels\/5gear_value_tp_w500xh157-300x94.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Values allow us to set boundaries (our likes and dislikes), express them to others, and recognize and respect the boundaries of others.<\/p>\n<p>When we develop the skill to recognize Value in all things we are able to see new opportunities and new choices we previously never saw before.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gear 2: BELIEFS<\/strong><br \/>\nBeliefs are formed from our past experiences.\u00a0 They are at the core of who we are.\u00a0 For many of us, our Beliefs dictate our:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Perceptions,<\/li>\n<li>Attitudes,<\/li>\n<li>Thinking,<\/li>\n<li>Feelings, and<\/li>\n<li>Behaviors (actions) in present situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>For many of us, our Beliefs dictate our actions in present situations, and were formed at a much younger age were we took another person&#8217;s Beliefs (possibly our parents, teachers, or other authority figures) as our own.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6460\" src=\"\/\/pocketwisdominsights.com\/pwicolab\/wp-content\/uploads\/PWIModels\/5_gears_tp_beliefs.png\" alt=\"5_gears_tp_beliefs\" width=\"500\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pocketwisdominsights.com\/pwicolab\/wp-content\/uploads\/PWIModels\/5_gears_tp_beliefs.png 925w, https:\/\/pocketwisdominsights.com\/pwicolab\/wp-content\/uploads\/PWIModels\/5_gears_tp_beliefs-600x195.png 600w, https:\/\/pocketwisdominsights.com\/pwicolab\/wp-content\/uploads\/PWIModels\/5_gears_tp_beliefs-300x97.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Food for Thought:\u00a0 By the age of 7 our beliefs are formed. What we believe about the world is based on the experiences and beliefs of other people.\u00a0 Thus, because these beliefs were never ours to begin with, many of us have a hard time understanding or resolving them\u2026 and we were never taught that we can simply separate from them and choose another way.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The BELIEF Gear is where we learn take learned \u201cFalse\u201d Beliefs and replace them with new, truer ones that support our Values.\u00a0 It is where we learn to change our Perceptions, Attitudes, Thinking, Feelings and Behaviors and thus either re-create or grow our personalities and intelligence&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>5 Gears of Life&#x2122;<\/em> shows us that we can learn HOW TO CHANGE OUR PAST BELIEFS and overcome our Reactionary Behaviors, by discovering and experiencing our Values through a process-based educational learning experience learning, like\u00a0we are about to embark on.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>For many of us, our inability to move through the Letting Go Process keeps us bound to our Beliefs.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>We may pass through Denial and Bargaining but when we hit Anger we get STUCK.<\/li>\n<li>We remain STUCK because we have never learned to move from \u201cAnger at\u201d to \u201cAnger about.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The inability to LET GO results in a perpetual state of fear and anger as we keep experiencing the same \u201cproblems\u201d and finding no <em>Emotional Resolution.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Emotional Resolution is a process of seeing, understanding, believing in a viable and achieving solution. Emotional Resolution (the solution) is an experience that we are about to discover through:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Writing<\/li>\n<li>Reading<\/li>\n<li>Hearing<\/li>\n<li>Confirming<\/li>\n<li>Acknowledging<\/li>\n<li>Accepting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Gears 3 to 5:\u00a0PRIORITIES \u2013 ACTION \u2013 RESULTS<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The last Three Gears are the steps we need to take in order to get the gears turning.\u00a0<\/strong> They define Our Emotional Intelligence and ability to create new experiences to affirm Our Values, create and support New Beliefs, <em>and separate from <\/em>Our old Beliefs.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Priorities&#8221;<\/strong> are a reflection of our <strong>Emotional Self-Authority<\/strong>, our ability to make decisions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Taking &#8220;Action&#8221;<\/strong> on those decisions requires a sense of <strong>Personal Power<\/strong> and <strong>Emotional Self-Responsibility<\/strong>. \u00a0It&#8217;s not just about taking the action, but using discretion regarding how we go about executing our decisions and the timing of them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Results&#8221;<\/strong> &#8211; We reflect on the results and determine what we learned, discovered, experienced and have come to Value (Our New Beliefs).\u00a0 This is\u00a0 <strong>Emotional Self-Accountability<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>Many people look at results as right and wrong, reward and punishment. But the real assessment of RESULTS is: Did we learn something?\u00a0 And what do we do with what we learned?<\/li>\n<li>By acknowledging what we learned, we are able to let that experience become part of our identity and therefore it becomes added to our belief structure.
