Part 5: “Back to Basic” Values
Getting Back to “Back to Basic” Values… Participation and Contribution
Looking Back, Moving Forward: In the last eMod Buddy Blog we were left knowing that we need to “take the sliver out the same way it went in” in order to reverse the “age of narcissism” and reshape the culture from one of fear, selfishness, control and entitlement to one of trust, empowerment and personal power. Thus we established the need to return to “Back to Basic” Values.
“Back to Basic” Values is a world and a culture of participation and contribution, interdependency, maturity, empowerment and personal power. However, the truth is that so many people today are trapped within the matrix of their conditioning and are unable, unwilling and ill-equipped to break free of this illusion. It is up to people like us with influence in our businesses and communities to stand up for truth.
“The world is a dangerous place to live;
not because of the people who are evil,
but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.
~Albert Einstein~
Are We At The End? Or, Are We Just At The Beginning?
If you look at the world today, it’s enough to make anyone depressed and detached. The future looks grim, but it doesn’t have to be. We can stop the clock and revolt. Not in the streets of entitlement and magical thinking, but in the boardrooms, office cubicles, hospitals, schools and communities of empowered thinkers and doers.
It is time that we as businesses and socially responsible people take control of our lives and protect our families, businesses, organizations, communities and customers. Using a process of empowerment we will create a “more intelligent” world – a world with smarter cultures, smarter families, smarter businesses, smarter communities and smarter customers. Moreover, a world that transitions from smart, to intelligent and finally to wise.
Our intelligent cultures go beyond the reach of manipulation and deception, and empower us as individuals and collective business partners to stop the misuse and abuse of our data, our lives and our vulnerabilities, and become active participants and contributors in our businesses and world.
Again, the question is “NOT WHAT to do, BUT HOW to do it!”
