Dan Millman is a world-renowned author and speaker. His personal and professional journey has touched and inspired many. As an aspiring Olympian who lost his opportunity due to a motorcycle accident the life lessons he had to face have helped many people around the world, and continues to do so.
Dan has authored 17 books as of 2015 which together have been published in 29 languages. In 2006, his first book, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, was adapted to a film, Peaceful Warrior, with Nick Nolte, distributed by Lionsgate Films and re-released by Universal Pictures in 2007. Dan credits the inspiration for his first book to a gas station attendant he met who reminded him of Socrates and to whom he gave that name.

In 2005, Dan approached AwareComm to ePublish his new book and launch the first ever online book launch for his new book (the sequel to The Way of the Peaceful Warrior), The Journeys of Socrates.
AwareComm worked with Dan to pioneer his book, vision and engagement:
- Providing clear audio, transmitted screen presentation (Follow Me) on 56K mbps modem
- Converting his books to a Personal Learning Technology™ (PLT) Publishing
- Acquiring royalty-free publishing rights from Time-Warner for The Life You Were Born to Live
- Co-hosting the first online book launch of Dan's The Journeys of Socrates with Harper-San Francisco
Dan experienced, in his own worlds the power of Personal Learning Technology™ (PLT) and how it brought his word "to life." He described the PLT™ process as one in which "people can't not learn." The courses were embraced by his audience, however, the long-term implementation was lacking at the time. As a result of this finding Co-Labs defined a support process called Solutions Orientated Support (SOS) that provides consistent support, reinforcement as well as career, job and training opportunities for all members and stakeholders.
