Corporate Narcissism
Corporate Narcissism is the organizational illusion of being invincible. Ever heard the phrase “too big to fail?” Don’t be fooled, there is no such thing. This is exemplified by the medical industry example that follows.
- People enter the medical industry for the right reasons, but they end up becoming part of the machine and lose sight of their altruistic driving factors
- The Healthcare community steps on physicians and healthcare workers, without consideration for keeping them, because they’re all going to be replaced by automated diagnostics, services and robotic caregivers anyway (it’s happening now)
AwareComm® led a field research study that examined the leading causes of death for Americans. It was determined that preventable medical errors was the 3rd leading cause of death. The findings of AwareComm’s field research were recognized internationally and garnered interest in the the medical industry. However, the hosting organization perceived the findings to be a threat and severed ties to this research study.
As a result of AwareComm’s field research, the Medical Device Interoperability Co-Lab™ was born. Learn more by clicking the Building a Culture of Interoperability link and exploring all the links near the bottom of the page.
