Opening Insights
Questions are an important part of our lives and the evolution of our civilization. When we stop asking questions is when we stop evolving. This reality is fast approaching in many educational systems around the world – both primary, secondary and tertiary.
Questions are what have propelled civilization forward since the dawn of time. Questions allow us to explore, discover and ponder the possible and the perceivably impossible. Without the skill of questioning, we limit our creativity and squelch our imagination.
Questions allowed Chris Barnard to define and perform the first heart transplant, they are what propelled the Wright Brothers into flight, they are what initiates and ends wars, they are what allowed humankind to go to the moon and ponder the mysteries of time and space travel.
Without questions we have no solutions, without solutions we have no progress, without progress we have no future.
Informational Insights
In homes, schools and colleges around the world children are being taught to SHUT UP, and listen to what is being taught. Many teachers fail to teach their student critical thinking and questioning skills for a number of reasons the primary one being they lack the skills themselves.
The power is in the question… yet so many of us have been silenced, how do we find our voice again? How do we discover and uncover the questions to ask. First we need a safe space to discover, explore and examine our thinking and the questions we have within. That space is the PWI Co-Lab, where a culture of collaboration invites and engages in a way that allows all people to learn how to once again discover the questions, the intelligent questions within.
