A WhatsApp message in response to a UN article titled, Use of religious beliefs to justify rights violations must be outlawed says UN expert, has been widely circulated and has attracted the attention of Christian news analysis site, INcontext International.

The UN article was originally published March 2, 2020 and it contains alarming statements from Ahmed Shaheed, UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief.

I firmly reject any claim that religious beliefs can be invoked as a legitimate ‘justification’ for violence or discrimination against women, girls or LGBT+ people the right to freedom of religion protects individuals and not religions as such.

An emotionally charged response to the UN article was published January 15, 2021 by The Defender Newspaper and reposted on jellyfish.news. Titled, UN declares his enemy of the church, this response to the UN article has been widely circulated in the WhatsApp community.

The UN says that the Christian Church is the enemy of human rights. The UN says that it will become a world religion to impose humanitarian laws, not spiritual so that the world is not subject to Christian doctrine so that they cannot impose their spiritual laws.

Due to the article's level of redistribution and its plain language description of the UN's intended path forward, it was examined and fact-checked by incontextinternational.org, which labels the message as "false."

A WhatsApp message is currently doing the rounds, which claims that the United Nations (UN) has declared the Christian Church an enemy. The message, sent without a name, has a link attached to it titled: Use of religious beliefs to justify rights violations must be outlawed says UN expert.

This article seeks to make sense of the brief chain of reactions stemming from the UN article titled, Use of religious beliefs to justify rights violations must be outlawed says UN expert.

Just as an old police officer once told me, "There are three sides to every story – the claimant, the defendant, and the truth." this article seeks to identify the truth.

Disprove a Lie

A lie, by definition, is indefensible and cannot be disproven. A lie is not necessarily saying something that isn't true, it is influencing somebody to think or believe something other than the WHOLE truth (all the facts). Pieces of truth plus the omission of facts still constitutes a lie.

Before we examine the UN article at the center of this discussion, it is important to understand the intentions and motivating forces behind the UN's actions and communications. A quick look at Agenda 21, the global plan adopted by the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development on 14 June 1992, paints a clear picture.

The UN agenda and intentions, which were originally announced in their Agenda 21 literature, follow the direction of one-world, totalitarian, single governing body control over all inhabitants of the earth. This literature has been updated with new verbiage over the years as the reaction to it from those who took the time to read and interpret the meaning within its 400-pages was great alarm, distrust, and anger.

The words used are agreeable, desirable, and even pleasant, but the means by which to achieve the described outcomes are vaguely discussed and are typically wrought through the exertion of ever-increasing control-over individuals and social engineering to ensure the control goes unchallenged.

Now called the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the underlying intentions of Agenda 21 remain as the driving force for "global sustainability."

A Reference.com article titled, What is "Agenda 21 for Dummies?" summarizes the intentionally obfuscating legal-speak of the UN literature into clear layman's terms.

Agenda 21 for Dummies is an explanation in layman’s terms of an alleged conspiracy stemming from a 1987 U.N. initiative to study environmental and population development. It exposes an official policy that has been adopted by 178 nations, including the United States, to impose a global socialism.

The goal of Agenda 21 is to reduce the consumption of resources, maintain and restore biodiversity and increase social equity through a program of sustainable development. The means to accomplish these goals is through the integration of social, economic and environmental resources. The plan requires that every level of community and local government adopt the principles of sustainable development to carry them to every individual.

Implementation involves the creation of a perceived international emergency fueled by an economic and environmental crisis, control of the media, universal disarmament to entrust all weapons to a central authority, and the redistribution of resources and wealth. The result is a global society which accepts social justice as the right of all individuals to benefit equally from the resources provided by society and the environment, and the rights of personal freedom and private ownership no longer exist.

Did you see that last part: "...and the rights of personal freedom and private ownership no longer exist."

That should be very alarming to any freedom-loving individual or to anyone who owns something that doesn't want to give it to their government for expert management and/or equitable redistribution.

Hoaxology

Hoaxology is the INcontext International category for published content which is interpreted by their staff to be misrepresentative of the truth as they see it. The WhatsApp message in response to the UN article titled, Use of religious beliefs to justify rights violations must be outlawed says UN expert, falls into this category.

The Hoaxology de-bunking article begins by reviewing the claims made in the WhatsApp message:

Message claims

• UN declares his enemy as the Christian Church.
• UN says that the Christian Church is the enemy of human rights.
• UN says it will become a world religion to impose humanitarian laws, not spiritual, so that the world is not subjected to the Christian doctrine.
• UN declares that its principles and declarations serve as a world religion to take control of humanity.
• UN ID2020 project is mandatory to corner Christians to divide their beliefs and faith…(we) must take power away from the church.
• Christians commit a crime against gender equality by prohibiting their human rights.
• Christians want to indoctrinate LGBT groups to take away their rights and convert them.
• The UN says that it will be the true religion that allows the citizens of the world to be happy in the way they want to live under a new world order.
• The UN said that they will block Christians and disperse their sheep, so that they will have no power.
• The UN says it is time to take away the rights of Christians.
• The UN says that the growth of Christianity in the world is a threat.
• The UN says that if churches do not join them in defending human rights, abortion and LGTB rights they are committing a hate crime.
• The UN says that they have to erase the religious conscience of Christianity, with a new ideology to work in full freedom with human and not spiritual rights for a new humanist religion as proposed by the leader Francisco. [probably a reference to Pope Francis]
• The UN will draw up a law so that Christians cannot invoke religious freedom.
• The UN, through its ID2020 programme, will be able to implement abortion and neutralise the global growth of humanity through homosexualism and lesbianism, and they will vaccinate children and adolescents so that only 10% of children are born, for an equitable reduction.
• The UN will take away the religious rights of Christians and they will become subordinate to the new laws or they will cease to exist.
• The UN says that their goal is to prepare 1000 million lesbians and 1500 million homosexuals, to prevent the birth of 5000 million children and lead to the death of 500 million people through viruses, epidemics, pandemics, and other manipulations.
• The UN will apply the full weight of humanistic law against religious principles that will be annihilated and discarded, because the time has come to control humanity and our (UN) humanistic religion will bring the religious solution.

The Hoaxology article goes on to address the above claims. The general defense is:

Firstly, it must be noted that the article link that accompanies the message is completely irrelevant as it contains none of the claims made by the author of the message. Nowhere is the Christian Church mentioned and nowhere does the United Nations declare the Christian Church its enemy. Or any other religion, for that matter.

It would be a fruitless endeavor to go through each claim, one-by-one, and match it with the exact words of the UN Special Rapportuer.

Remember, a lie from either side will be impossible to disprove. The words they use are meaningless and easy to prove, or disprove.

A much more productive use of time and effort is to become familiar with the underlying intentions of either side of the argument.

Figures never lie, but liars figure.

Begin With the Intent

To make sense of this web of words we must examine the intentions of those from each side of the argument. Only then can the words being used have a framework within which to have meaning.

The intentions are all that really matter. Just ask any politician. With the correct carefully crafted words you can romance the people into giving away all of their freedoms and subject themselves to ever-increasing levels of control while making them feel safe and grateful that you are protecting them.

The Holocaust is a perfect example, with its leader, Adolf Hitler, being a master at implementing this methodology.

Examine the intent. The truth cannot be known without first identifying the intentions. That is why this article began with a brief illustration of the Agenda 21 intent – in order to frame this discussion.

What is this article's intent? Examine the truth. Everybody is entitled to their own facts, but there is only one truth.

The most important question that any of us can ask those who deliver irrefutable facts is "why?" then hold them accountable for their answers and continue to ask "why?" until their true intentions are revealed.

Does the UN article specifically label the Christian Church as an enemy?

No, it does not.

However, the Christian Church holds great power and influence over the people... and the moral/spiritual principles of Christianity directly conflict with the social justice agenda of the UN.

What is the UN's agenda? Remember Agenda 21, a.k.a. Sustainable Planet, a.k.a. Sustainable Development Goals?

The UN's intent is to establish a single authority to which all people must adhere in order to achieve its goals for global sustainability. The Church is an outside authority and that is a direct conflict.

Can they coexist?

Rant or Undeniable Reason?

The WhatsApp message is flawed and makes claims that do not directly match up with the UN Special Rapporteur's report and quoted words. Does that make it untrue?

If you have not yet put the pieces together, consider this: history doesn’t lie, but liars re-write history. Just ask all the Chinese citizens who are prohibited from learning their pre-Chairman Mao history.

It's Happening NOW

The UN and its advocates are using the COVID-19 panic to exercise emergency power to carry forward its agenda at a rate that would never have been accepted had the people not been paralyzed by fear, a state that is supported and perpetuated with the healthcare industry preforming as co-conspirators.

Now, citizens of countries all over the world are bowing to the authoritarian overreach in the name of safety. Rights have become privileges and privileges can be taken away. We let our rights be taken away, because we were afraid of the media-amplified and grossly exaggerated danger from a virus, for which there is no substantiated medical explanation. It all remains a secret and a factor of endless judgement.

In final examination of the quoted material, the most important takeaway is this: first, study the intent and always ask "why?" Never take anyone's words at face value, especially not in today's world of media propaganda and government disinformation.

The greatest power we have is the power of the question.
