If we think the realities of technology addiction are not real, all we have to do is read the news, read the statistics (see below) or listen to the intention of entertainment, marketing and social media giants. Shaun Parker, the first President of Facebook said in 2017, Facebook grew by knowingly and deliberately "exploiting a vulnerability in human psychology" creating reward system that kept users distracted and addicted. The realities of the dependent and addictive society that has been created is no laughing matter. The scary thing is, is that the youth of today have no experience of anything different - they have no experience of what it is like to NOT BE DISTRACTED OR CONNECTED TO A DEVICE.
